Climate Mike led the single largest reforestation project in the U.S., the Collins-Modoc Project. When serving on an advisory board during that time – alongside smart and dedicated sustainability professionals– he realized that even they didn’t fully understand climate, so how could the layperson? This led him to launch Aclymate, but also motivates his drive to educate people about climate.

Mike is a former US Naval Officer and FA-18 pilot, where he attained the rank of Commander with 12+ years of active-duty service. As a 2002 honors graduate of the United States Naval Academy, he holds a Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering with a minor-equivalent in Political Science, both with an environmental focus. He is currently a Board Member for Veterans For Responsible Leadership, a group of U.S. military veterans dedicated to promoting integrity and civility in public office by supporting candidates from all parties for local, state, and federal office who are committed to defending our democracy.

Mike is based in Denver and surrounded by beautiful nature he feels compelled to protect. He enjoys skiing and hiking in the mountains surrounding the city. In addition, he is a Board Member for Coalitions & Cooperatives (COCO), an organization that fosters on-the-ground conservation efforts that protect and restore natural resources and local communities by supporting collaborative conservation organizations, who produce collective impacts through stakeholder driven efforts.

With a vision of making climate action accessible and understandable to everyone, and a co-founder who helped him bring that vision to life, Aclymate was born in 2021. Aclymate helps businesses without a sustainability expert on staff to measure, reduce, offset and report their emissions with a user-friendly and affordable solution.
